If Americans take stock of their values, they will come to understand that they are quite philanthropic.

A. Their values, they will come to understand that they are quite philanthropic.
B. Their values, we will come to understand that they are quite philanthropic
C. Their values, we have come to understand that they are quite philanthropic
D. Their values, they have come to understand that they are quite philanthropic.
E. Their values, we have been coming to understand that they are quite philanthropic

I feel Option B is correct and make more sense. Please help explain.

Only Answer A seems to be right answer here, all other options seem totally wrong.
If americans take stock of their values, then only americans will know something and not us.
If we take stock of their values, then we will know something about it.
hence option a is the only answer tht makes sense.

Thanks Aman ...nice explanation

A - correct answer choice.

answer choices with 'we' can be eliminated..does not have proper antecedent.

have come - incorrect. no need for present perfect tense. Thanks.

If A's take stock of their values then how will we come to know that they are Philanthropic? They will come to know that they are Philanthropic. So, B, C and E are gone.

Between A and D, A looks straight fwd. D just sounds weird.

I agree with A as the best choice. However, I think A still makes a pronoun mistake?
The last "they" is it referring to values or Americans? Isn't this ambiguous?

+1 A

Usually, when we have "IF + simple present", the second part of the sentence is in simple future (will).

B is wrong because it changes the meaning. The original sentence doesn't talk about us.

If x does, y will do. So C, D and E are out.

Among A and B

A) If Ram know the map, I will reach home.
B) If Ram knows the map, he will reach home.

Which one is correct. Most of us will say B and I agree. But A can also be correct If I am accompanied by Ram :-D

Anyways A is right answer here, but I did not like the question.
