IMHO answer must be (D)...

ODD + ODD = EVEN

So, (v+w) will be EVEN

EVEN*EVEN = EVEN

So, 2(v+w) will be EVEN

Thus, in my opinion answer must be (D)

A. vw
B. v+w+1
C. v/w
D. 2 (v+w)

D is correct,

C:9/3=3(odd)

D:2(1+3)=8(even)(even * odd=even )
E:2*3+9=15(odd)

Since an even integer times any integer will always be even, we see that answer choice D will always be even. In other words, 2 times (v+w) will produce a product that is an even integer.

Answer: D
