Let's assume c = -3, b = -2 & a = -1
|a - b - c| - |b + c|
|-1 + 3 + 2| - |-3-2|
|4| - |-5| = 4 - 5 = -1
Therefore the result is equal to the value of a.

Let’s call A = |a-b-c|-|b+c| = |a-(b+c)|-|b+c|
As c<b<a<0 => b+c<a => a-(b+c)>0 => |a-(b+c)| = a-(b+c) (1)
Also c<b<0 => b+c<0 => |b+c| = - (b+c) (2)
(1)+(2) => A = a-(b+c)-[-(b+c)] = a => Answer A
