Write out the equation and units. I've put the units in parentheses for clarity

$$\frac{h (houses)}{1 (day)} · d (day) = \frac{h (hours)· d (day)}{1 (day)}$$
Units can cancel

$$\frac{h (houses) d}{1} = hd (houses)$$
