Alright, it's Sunday night and I've spent at least 12 hours this weekend working on essays. I'm done.

I decided to peruse a resume book and came across a few things that go :? .

Quote:
OTHER INTERESTS
• Red Cross platelet/blood donor

This guy also put his SAT score in, I'm sure he just wanted to cover all the bases.

Quote:
PERSONAL
• Managed personal investment account since May 2005

This one didn't strike me so much as funny, but more odd. I guess it all depends on how his personal investments are doing?

Before anyone calls me an ass for poking fun at these people, let me state:

These people are all attending schools that I have yet to get accepted at. This was not attempt to trash these people and I hope that everyone (including the original authors) gets a little chuckle out it.

Actually I have that I am a blood/platelet donor on my resume too :) for me it works out well since I coordinated blood drives during my junior year, and hold second place at my college's single site donation record. 109 pints in 5 hours.

:P

In your case it makes sense.

Actually, I would have even thought it would be appropriate on that guy's resume under "community activities".

What made me chuckle was he put it under "interests". Kinda like "I like to surf, snowboard and donate platelets."

A classmate of mine put together the largest blood drive in red cross history...or some crazy thing like that. If you can say something like that it will help. Saying you donate 3 times a year, probably not much of a positive.

However, I do not do profile reviews, don't offer predictions on chances and am far to busy to review essays, so save the energy of writing me a PM seeking help for these. If I don't respond to a PM that is not one of the previously mentioned trash can destined messages, please don't take it personally I get so many messages I have a hard to responding to most. The more interesting, compelling, or humorous you message the more likely I am to respond.

Haha! I only wish I have that much to give. They might as well start milking me now.
