OEThe question asks for
h, which is one of the smaller angles. Angles
a and
d are both smaller angles as well, so solve for one of those. Angle
a and angle
g sum to 180.

Further, angle
a and angle
d are equal.

Substitute x = 3y − 10 into the first equation and solve for y.

There are two paths forward from here. In order to solve directly for a, you need the values of both x and y, so you could solve for x next, then plug into the formula for a. Alternatively, use y alone to find the value of g. Since g = 11y = 11(10), the value of g is 110. And since g is a big angle, the measure of a small angle is 180 − g = 180 − 110 = 70.
