For calculation of f(g(3)) we need both f(x) and g(x), so A & B are out.
By using both A & B, f(g(3)) = 2(g(3)) = 2(3*3+1) = 20--- (C)

By taking 2 first, g(x) = 3x+1 [not suff --------a

By taking 1 now, f(x) = 2x [not suff --------b

from a and b,
g(3) = 3*3 +1= 10
f(g(3)) = 2(g(3)) = 20 (ans C)
