Statement 1- we have no idea about the value of k

Statement 2- k+8 and n=k+9 are two consecutive numbers. 2 positive consecutive numbers are always co-prime. Value of g=1

GCF of n and (k+8)is the highest divisor of (n)and (k+8)
Any difference between (n)and (k+8)which is divisible by (n) and (k+8) will be the GCF
(St1) n=909
No info. on what k is, any number k will be would influence what the GCF will be
Say k=902,then GCF of (n)and (k+8) is 1
Say k= 1 ,then GCF this of (n) and (k+8) is 9 (not suff)
(St2) n=k+9
Now we have GCF of (k+9) and (k+8) will always be a co-prime with a common divisor being 1 only
E.g. k=1 we have 10 and 9 ,k=2 we have 11 and 10 all will have a GCF of 1 (suff.)
