1. we have only information on ration of costs but not on how much they costed,.If one was known another would have been found with the ration. hence insufficient.

2. we cannot find cost of an item if total cost of 2 items is given, Insufficient.

1+2 >>>>> x/y=5 and x+y=360 where x=cost of skis ; y=cost of jacket

solving for y> 6y=360 >> y=60 so x=300. Sufficient,

1: In sufficient - No mention of the cost
2: In sufficient - only total cost is given

Combining both - cost of Skis is 300
