Let hugga weight be 2x
Behosh weight = X
Statement 1: Chippi weighs 34 kilograms less than Behbeh.
Chippi = X-34
2*Chippi weight = 2(x-34)
Hugga's weight is 2x-2x+68, the weight of Chippi the ape
=> 68
So hugga is 68 kg heavier than chippi's twice weight
(Sufficient)
Statement 2: Hugga weighs 84 kilograms more than Chippi.
2x-84 = Chippi's weight
Twice chippi's weight
4x-168 = 2*chippi's weight.

Solution
Step 1: Analyse Question Stem
- • Let us assume that the weight of :
- o Hugga the rhinoceros is h kg
o Behbeh the goat is b kg and
o Chippi the ape is c kg
• Now let us assume that the Hugga’s weight is x kg more than twice the weight of Chippi.
- o i.e. \(h = 2c + x…….Eq.(ii)\)
Step 2: Analyse Statements Independently (And eliminate options) – AD/BCE
Statement 1: Chippi weighs 34 kilograms less than Behbeh.
- • According to this statement: \(c = b -34\)
• Substituting the above value of c in Eq.(ii), we get,
- o \(h = 2(b-34) + x ⟹ h = 2b – 68 + x ⟹ h = h – 68 + x\) [ from eq(i)]
o Thus, \( x = 68\)
Statement 2: Hugga weighs 84 kilograms more than Chippi.
- • According to this statement: \(h =c + 84\)
• From the above equation and Eq(ii), we have,
- o \(c +84 = 2c + x ⟹ x =84 – c\)
o However, we don’t the value of c, so we cannot find x.
Thus, the correct answer is Option A.
