[4.5]>=4.5, therefore choices are 5,6,7,8,....
[-4.5]>=-4.5, therefore choices are -4,-3,-2,-1,0....

subtracting any of these numbers will not yield an answer with a decimal point. but, it can give you an answer of zero.

therfore, answer is C.

[-4.5] = -4
[4.5]= 5

[-4.5] + [4.5] = 1

[.5] = 1
so D

[-4.5] = -4
[4.5] = 5

so value is 1 which is same as [.5] hence D

Did I miss something here??? :oops:

The question says: [a] > = a or a 1 ([0.5] can not be more than 1 as solved above)

Hence the answer should be E.
