If it takes 12 h working independently 3 h to make 500 boxes, how many minutes should it take for 16 workers to make 300 boxes?

A) 60
B) 72
C) 81
D) 98
E) 240

12x=500/180 rate of individual is 50/18 --> 25/9*12 25/108

Now 16*25/108 --> 400/108

300/(400/108) 324/4 = 81.

C

can you please provide a detailed explanation for the solution above? Thank you!

I was confused with this as well. I saw the OA was C so I then reworked it. the sentence should say

If it takes 12 workers 3 hours to make 500 boxes.... etc...
