If Jamal is charged $236.30 to rent a car and that charge consists of a flat fee of $95 and a charge of $0.075 for every tenth of a mile driven, how many miles did Jamal drive the rental car?

A. 188.2
B. 188.4
C. 188.6
D. 188.8
E. 189

236.2 - 95 = 141.30
0.075 charge for every 1/10 th of mile so per mile cost = 0.75
miles driven
141.30/.75 = 188.4

236.30 will be including an one time fee = 236.30 - 95 = 141.30

Now this 141.30 = 1/10* 0.075* x(miles traveled)

x = 188.4

236.30 will be including an one time fee = 236.30 - 95 = 141.30

Now this 141.30 = 1/10* 0.075* x(miles traveled)

x = 188.4

Notice that solving this equation \(\frac{1}{10}\) * .075 *x=141.30 gives x =18840 NOT 188.4
