If m, n and p are distinct digits and their product is another distinct digit, what is value of the product mnp?

(1) mn = 8
(2) m is twice n and n is twice p


p≠0. In this case product will also be 0.

(1) mn=8

1*8*p and 8*1*p give us p=0 and we need to discard this option.

2*4*p and 4*2*p give us p = 1. Sufficient.

(2) \(m*n*p = 4p*2p*p = 8*p^3\)

Only awailable option is p=1. Sufficient.

Hi

As I understand, but may be I'm wrong, when we are talking about digits we mean them to be positive (like in combinatorics), otherwise we would have been talking about one digit numbers, which could be negative.
