If N > 0, is N a whole number?

(1) 3 × N is an odd number --> 3n = odd --> n = odd/3 --> odd/3 could be an integer, as well as non-integer. For example, consider 3/3 and 5/3. No sufficient.

(2) 2 × N is an even number --> 2n = even --> n = even/2 = integer. Sufficient.
