My 2 cents on this:

I like to look at these more objectively to quickly keep or rule out options.

in 30 a factor of n, in my mind is read as ---> is n/30 = integer?

St 1: n^2/30 is an integer.

OK. (n x n)/30 is an integer. We also know that 30 can be prime factorized into 2 x 5 x 3. That means n has to include atleast one of each to be an integer, hence, n/30 is an integer, or as the question puts it, "is 30 a factor of n?" Answer is definite yes. Sufficient.

St2: 30 is a factor of 2n, which I read as 2n/30 is an integer. which can be further simplified as n/15 is an integer.

if n = 15 then answer to question is no. if n = 30 the answer is yes. contradiction. Hence, A
