Statement 1 - N = x/16

X is even. As there is no multiple of 16 that is odd.

PS: N is an integer

Statement 2 - N = Y/32

Y is even. As there is no multiple of 32 that is odd.

PS: N is an integer

If N is a positive integer, is X*Y an even integer?

(1) N = X/16.
Since N is an integer, it means X is even integer, because only Even/Even gives an integer
But Y can be integer or Non integer . Hence X*Y can be Even integer or a non integer.
It is insufficient.

(2) N = Y/32.
Since N is an integer, it means Y is even integer, because only Even/Even gives an integer
But X can be integer or Non integer . Hence X*Y can be Even integer or a non integer.
It is insufficient.

Combining Both Statements 1 & 2, we get
X and Y are even integers, hence X*Y is even integers.

(2) N = Y/32.

(1) N = X/16. Then X=16N,
Since N is an integer, it means X is even integer .
But Y can be integer or Non integer . Hence X*Y can be Even integer or a non integer.
It is insufficient.

(2) N = Y/32.Then 32N = Y
Since N is an integer, it means Y is even integer .
But X can be integer or Non integer . Hence X*Y can be Even integer or a non integer.
It is insufficient.

Combining Both Statements 1 & 2, we get
