Q36realtestc:

If n is an integer and 100 < n <200, what is the value of n?
(1) n/36 is an odd integer.
(2) n/45 is an even integer.

this is a wierd question because each st gives different values for n and together they are impossible .... so e is the answer .... is the question itself right???

B for me on this one
1st) n/36=x(odd number)
we know that n must be greater than 100 and smaller than 200
so picking odd numbers for x
lets take 3 --->n will be 108-ok
lets take 5---->n will be 180-ok hence it is insuff
2)n/45=y (even integer)
lets take 4 (2 is out cause if y=2 n will be 90)
y=4 n will be 180 the only possible choice
So B it is

Possible values for k = 3,5
n=108, or n= 180
Not sufficient.

S2: n = 45m, m= 2,4,6,8...
Possible values of m=4,
n= 180.

n = 72K + 36

To keep in bounds K can be 1 or 2 which gives 108 or 180

INSUFF

2)

n / 45 = 2K (even number), where K is any integer

n = 90K

only value of K that keeps n between 100 - 200 is 2 so n = 180

SUFF
