If P is the sum of positive odd numbers which are less than 84 and Q is the sum of the positive even integers that are less than 84, what is the value of Q – P ?

A. - 42
B. - 40
C. 40
D. 41
E. 42
P=1+3+5+..83

Q=2+4+6+...82

numbers from 1 to 83=83 numbers
first and last is odd so there will be 1 extra odd number...83/2==41 even and 42 odd numbers

visualize this(Q-P)
2,4,6....82
- - - -
1,3,5....81,83
_______
1,1,1....1)*41 TIMES- 83(REMAINING)
