should be E

\(\frac{2(s^2-2^2)}{(s+2)}\)

\(\frac{(2(s-2)(s+2))}{(s+2)}\)

2(s-2)
2s-4

I also got E, we know s ≠ -2 so set s = 1,
2s2−8/s+2 = -2
checking the answers
a = -3
b = 5
c = 5
d = -3
e = -2
Only e works.

A. s - 4
B. s + 4
C. s^2 + 4
D. s^2 - 4
E. 2s - 4

\(\frac{2s^2 - 8}{s+2}\)

\(\frac{2(s^2 - 2^2)}{s + 2}\)

\(\frac{2(s + 2) (s - 2)}{(s + 2)}\)

\(2s - 4\)

Simplifying the expression, we have:

2(s^2 - 4)/(s + 2)

[2(s + 2)(s - 2)]/(s + 2)

2(s - 2) = 2s - 4

Answer: E
