\(5 + 9 + k + m = 48\)
So, \(k + m = 34\)
Average of \(k + 7\) and \(m - 3\)
So, \(\frac{k + 7 + m - 3 }{ 2 }= \frac{k + m + 4}{2}=>34 + 4 /2 = 19\), Answer must be (C)

The average (arithmetic mean) of 5, 9, k, and m is 12
Sum of values = Average * 4 (as there are 4 values) = 12 * 4 = 48
=> 5 + 9 + k + m = 48
=> k + m = 48 - 5 - 9 = 48 - 14 = 34
The average of k + 7 and m - 3
Average = Sum of all the Values / 2 = \(\frac{(k+7) + (m-3)}{2}\) = \(\frac{k + m + 7-3 }{2}\) = \(\frac{34 + 4}{2}\) = \(\frac{38}{2}\) = 19
So, Answer will be C.
