(x + y)/2 = +ve
x + y = +ve

Question: x = +ve?

St1: xy < 0 --> x can be +ve or -ve
Not Sufficient

St2: x = y + 4 --> x > y
If y is -ve, x has to be +ve for the mean to be +ve
If y is +ve, x will be +ve.
In both the cases, x = +ve.
Sufficient.
