310 = sum of the 5

4 largest sum = 296 thus the smallest = 14......insuff

from 2

the largest = 310 - 160 = 150......insuff

both

range is = 150-14..............C

1) b+c+d+e=4*74

insuff

2)
a+b+c+d=40*4

minus (1)-(2) and you get e-a=4(74-40) or 136

sufficient
