If the average of five numbers is -10, and the sum of three of the numbers is 16, then what is the average of the other two numbers?

(A) –33
(B) –1
(C) 5
(D) 20
(E) 25

Sum of the 5 number = -10 * 5 = -50

Sum of the 3 numbers = 16

Sum of other 2 numbers = -50 - 16 = -66

Average of the 2 numbers = -66/2 = -33.

A is the best answer.

sum of 5 no = -50
and 3 no = 16
so of other two sum = -66
and avg= -33
IMO A
