x+y+z = 30.

To make z as large as possible, make x and y as small as possible, i.e. make x = y = 1:

1+1+z = 30
z = 28

(x+y+z) = 30

Lowest possible value for x and y is 1, because 0 is not positive.

z = 30 - 2 = 28
