(A) 4.5
(B) 24
(C) 27
(D) 30
(E) cannot be determined

\(\frac{a + b + c + d + e + f}{6} = 4.5\)

Or, \(a + b + c + d + e + f = 27\)

Answer must be (B) 27

We use the formula average = sum/number. Thus, we have 4.5 = sum/6. Thus, the sum is 4.5 x 6 = 27.

Answer: C
