If the averages of both sets are equal, what is the value of x?

A. 1
B. 4
C. 5
D. 6
E. 8

(2x+10)/4 = (2x+20)/6

6(2x+10) = 4(2x+20)

12x+60 = 8x+80

4x = 20

x = 5

Hence option C = 5 is the answer.

\(\frac{2x+10}{4}\)= \(\frac{2x+20}{6}\) ==> x=5
