and 20 mins be 1/3 hrs
since distance is same
45*(t+1/3)= 50*t
solve for t
t= 3 hrs
distance 50* 3=150 miles
and @ 45 mph = 45 * (3+1/3) = 150 miles

With constant fuel consumption rate, fuel consumed between m-f = 2*fuel consumed between f-v
but we don't know distance.
St. 1+2
Ration of distance is ratio of fuel consumed.
m-f/f-v= 2/1
m-f/m-v= 2/3=> x/150
m-f= 100 miles.
C is correct choice.
