h= -2 (from diagram)
k=0 (from diagram)
x= -3 (given in question)
replace on equation => n = (-3-2)^2
n=5

Asked: If the equation of the parabola in the coordinate plane above is \(y = (x - h)^2 + k\) and (–3, n) is a point on the parabola, what is the value of n?

h = 2
k = 0

Equation of the parabola :

y = (x-2)^2

Since Point (-3,n) lies on the parabola, it should satisfy its equation.

n = (-3-2)^2 = 5^2 = 25

Note

If there is x^2 and x term in the equation then the axis of parabola is parallel to y axis

and if there is only x^2 term then axis of the parabola is y axis

in this equation - h,k is the vertex thus y= (x-2)^2 + 0

thus y=(x-2)^2

substitute 3,n and get the answer
