If the above figure is a square, the sides are equal.

From the above diagram, 2x - 3 = x + 4
Solving for x, x = 7(Option A)

To cross check, if x=7, 2x-3 = x+4 = 11(which is the side of the square)

A square’s length and width are equal. Thus, we have:

2x - 3 = x + 4

x = 7

$$2x - 3 = x + 4$$
