Statement 1: The rectangular portion of the figure is a square.
No dimensions given.
Insufficient.

Statement 2
: The diagonal of the square is 15 centimeters.
from this we can calculate the side of square and the dia of semicircle.
Hence their areas.
No need of calculation.
Suficient.

Answer: B

In option B it's written "Square" , So there is no need of statement 1.
Only statement 2 is sufficient to get an answer. Please check.
