going by your responmse..

4 is also right then..

4 has a difference fo two distinct factors as 1 which is odd..

4 = 2 * 2 * 1.
So 2-1 is odd.

I would say C.

But the question asks for the difference of *any* two pos. factor.

Factors of 4 include 1, 2, 4 ==> 4-2 = even

this is hilarious..
When I did the problem the first time from OG.. I did select B.. gave the same reasoning as TeHCM..

and today when I tried to cram in a few seconds.. I missed out the point of any...

Taught me a lesson.. to take each choice in its entirety before going to a conclusion.. which ios what i did the first time...

arggggggggghhhhhhhhh sometimes i wonder if i make these silly mistakes in the real GMAT, its going to be costly.. especially the ones that i know!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OA is B...
Actually OG explanation is interesting..

if n>2 and n is Odd than n and 1 are factor and difference is even

if n>2 and n is even than n and 2 are factor and difference is even

So n=2

I used to feel OG that Math will be easy but after doing OG-11 PS and DS last few question and getting 10 out of 50 incorrect on PS and 9/49 incorrect in DS, I am seriously worried...

Chiragr,

The toughest questions are placed at the end of each section so its okay....I got many of them wrong the 1st time around as well.
