A. x/16

B. x/4

C. x^2/16

D. x^2/4

E. x^2/2

Given perimeter of square =x
Implies that measure of side of square=\(\frac{x}{4}\)

So, area of square=\((\frac{x}{4})^2=\frac{x^2}{16}\)

Ans. (C)

There exists a cute little formula

\(A = \frac{p^2}{16}\) { Where A = Area of Square and p = Perimeter of Square }

So, \(Area = \frac{x^2}{16}\), Answer must be (C)

Letting s = the side of the square, we can use the equation:

4s = x

s = x/4

So the area of the square is (x/4)^2 = x^2/16.
