given, n(M) = 200, now, we don't know n (S) and n (M⋂S). Not sufficient
Stat2: Of the 300 seniors, 2/3 took a science class.
given, n(S) = 200, so, left only will be maths = 300-200 =100 sufficient
It is B.

Students who took only Maths = m
Students who took only Science = s
Students who took both = b
We need to figure out 'm'
Statement 1- m+s+b = 300 and m+b=200
Hence, s=300-200=100; But we can't figure out 'm'
Insufficient
Statement 2- m+s+b = 300 and s+b=200
Hence, m= 300-200 =100
sufficient
Students who took only Science = s
Students who took both = b
We need to figure out 'm'
