(1) x is odd.

(2) Twice the value of x is less than 44.

x = ab = 10a+b
a+b = 4

x = either 13 or 22 or 31 or 40.

1: x is odd and could be 13 or 31.

2: 2x < 44.
x < 22.
x is 13. suff..
