The correct answer is A

Total weight of n people = 900 pounds

Statement 1:
Average weight on n people = 150 pounds

We know, Average = Total/n
So, 150 = 900/n
We can find the value of n, sufficient

Statement 2:
The person with the greatest weight in the elevator weighs 200 pounds.

With this, we know,
Remaining weight = 700 pounds
Remaining people = n-1 - Not sufficient

Bunuel
