If two fair, six-sided dice are rolled, what is the probability that the sum of the numbers will be 5?

Total probabilities = 6*6 = 36
Probability of getting SUM=5 = (1,4),(2,3),(3,2),(4,1) = 4

Probability = \(\frac{4}{36} = \frac{1}{9}\)

Ans: C

Given that Two identical six-sided dice are rolled and we need to find what is the probability that the sum of the numbers will be 5?

As we are rolling two dice => Number of cases = \(6^2\) = 36

Following are the cases in which sum will be 5
(1,4), (2,3), (3,2), (4,1) => 4 cases

=> Probability that the sum of the numbers will be 5 = \(\frac{4}{36}\) = \(\frac{1}{9}\)

So, Answer will be C
Hope it helps!
