On simplifying option E, we get
(u+1)(v+1)
We only have 2 & 3 as consecutive prime numbers which can be used here but we're told that u & v are also distinct and we don't have consecutive primes other than 2 & 3.

Let’s rewrite the entire options, as it’s given the terms u and v are DISTINCT PRIME numbers.

| b) (u+2)*(v-1) | 8 | 5 | 20 | 14 |

| e) (u+1)*(v+1) | 12 | 12 | 18 | 8 |
Only Option E has all the numbers as even numbers greater than 2. Hence, CANNOT BE PRIME.
