=> \(\frac{u^4*v^3 - (uv)^3}{u^4v^4}\)
=>\( \frac{u^3*v^3[u-1]}{u^4*v^4}\)
=> \(\frac{u-1}{uv}\) ------------------(1)
We need value of both u and v to determine value.
(1) u = 3
Value of V is missing
(Insufficient)
(2) v = 27
Value of U is missing
(Insufficient)
Combining Both: Putting value of u and v in equation 1
=> \(\frac{3-1}{27*3 }\)
=> \(\frac{2}{81}\)
(sufficient)
Answer is C
=>\( \frac{u^3*v^3[u-1]}{u^4*v^4}\)
=> \(\frac{u-1}{uv}\) ------------------(1)

If uv ≠ 0, what is the value of \(\frac{u^4v^3 - (uv)^3}{u^4v^4}\) ?
(1) u = 3
(2) v = 27
(1) u = 3
(2) v = 27
From \(uv ≠ 0\) we know both u and v cannot be 0, so we can cancel u and v freely. \(\frac{u^4v^3 - (uv)^3}{u^4v^4} = v^{-1} - (uv)^{-1} = \frac{1}{v} + \frac{1}{uv}\).
Therefore we will need both values, and we can only get that from combining statements so the answer is C.
