I took in following way
for unit digit 5 it is alternate so 300/2 = 150
for tens digit 50 and 55 for first 100 in total the end number is 300*5 = 1500 so given there are 2 five in tens place for every 100 number ...there are 2 for every 100 and hence (1500/100*2) = 30
For hundreth place - it will be in 500, 505, 510 i.e. every 5th number in the 500 series hence 100/5 = 20
and one in the 1500 (we should not take 1505, 1515, etc since 1500 is the last number)
thus
150+30+20+1 = 201
