x= ab+ ac

x-ac= ab

(x-ac)/a = b

x/a -c = b hence ans (B)

The lingo might not be familiar. Options give a clue: no answers contain \(b\).

The question just asks that we isolate \(b\) to express it in terms of the other variables.

\(x = a(b + c)\) Divide both sides by \(a\):
\(\frac{x}{a}=\frac{a(b+c)}{a}\)
\(\frac{x}{a}=(b+c)\)

Subtract \(c\) from both sides:
\(\frac{x}{a}-c=(b+c)-c\)
\(\frac{x}{a}-c=b\)

So \(b\) = \(\frac{x}{a}-c\)

It's given that x=a(b+c)
x/a = b+c
(x/a) - c=b

So, b = (x/a)-c. Thus the best answer is B.

x = a(b+c)
as x is not zero so a can't be 0
b = x/a - c

Simplifying the equation, we have:

x = a(b + c)

x/a = b + c

x/a - c = b

Answer: B
