If x = 1- 3t and y = 2t - 1, then for what value of t does x = y?
(A) 5/2
(B) 3/2
(C) 2/3
(D) 2/5
(E) 0
Since \(x = y\), then \(1- 3t= 2t - 1\) --> \(5t=2\) --> \(t=\frac{2}{5}\).
Answer: D.
