x + 2y = 2x - y
=> 2x - x = 2y + y
=> x = 3y

=> Answer: E

Given: X + 2Y = 2X - Y

To find : Value of X

Solution: X + 2Y = 2X - Y
=> Subtract X from sides
=> 2Y = X -Y
=> Add Y on Both sides
=> 3Y = X

Answer is E

x + 2y = 2x - y

2y + y = 2x - x

3y = X

X + 2Y = 2X - Y

=> X = 3Y

Let's manipulate the given equation to express x in terms of y:

\(\Rightarrow\) x + 2y = 2x - y

\(\Rightarrow\) x - 2x = -2y - y

\(\Rightarrow\) -x = -3y

\(\Rightarrow\) x = 3y

Answer: E
