(1) Clearly insufficient, since we do not know anything about X or Y
(2) Insufficient. For example 0----- X-------Z--------Y, but it could be also true: 0-----Z-----X------Y. In both cases Y>Z, but only in one Z is between X and Y

(1)+ (2) Combining both statements we know that Z>0, but those Statement 2 already shows that we do not know if Z is between X and Y

we dont know x and y.....insufficient
2) z<y
we dont know x......insufficient

1+2) we still dont know x
