Given: 5x +3y = 15
Divide both sides by 15 to get: x/3 + y/5 = 1
At this point we can see that, if y is a multiple of 5, then y/5 will be an integer, which means we'll be able to find an integer value of x that satisfies the equation.
For example, if y = -5, we get x/3 + (-5)/5 = 1, which means x = 6
Similarly, if y = 1005, we get x/3 + 1005/5 = 1, which means x = -600
Since 3 is NOT a multiple of 5, the correct answer is C
