(1) x is even.
(2) x is a multiple of 4.

S1 - x is even means it can be 44,52,58
Insufficient.
S2 - x is a multiple of 4 = 44,52
Insufficient.
Combining also Insufficient.
Answer E.

Statement (1) x is even. So x can be 44, 52, 58... Insufficient

Statement (2) x is a multiple of 4. So x can be 4*11=44 or 4*13=52... Insufficient

Combining (1) & (2) doesn't help us either.

Answer is option E.
