St I
The average of X and Y is not an integer
case 1: y = 7 and x =8
avg(x,y) = 15/2 =7.5

case 2 : y =7.5 and x =8
avg(x,y) = 15.5/2 =7.75 ---------- Insufficient

St II
The average of X, Y, and X + 6, is Y.
2x+6+y = 3y
2y = 2x+6
y = x+3 which will be an integer since x is an integer ----------Sufficient

Hence option B is correct
Hit Kudos if you liked it 8-)
