if x is an integer, what is the remainder when x is divided by 7?

1) x+8 is divisible by 7
2) x+1 is divisible by 7

Its D

zero is not divisible by any number. When zero is divided by any number then quotient is 0 and remainder is that number.

what is when x is negative than x has an different remainder! x is an initeger but i can not see that x must be positive or?

should be D ... regarding negative numbers ... just think of any -ive no x if x+1 is divisible by 7 then x cannot be divisible by 7 ..... there has to be a gap of 7 to be divisible
