Pick easy-to-use numbers. Since 100% of 10 is 10, let x = 100 and y = 10. When x = 100, Choices C and E are each 10. Eliminate Choices A, B, and D, and try some other numbers: 50% of 20 is 10. Of Choices C and E, only C = 20 when x = 50.
