Given:
- \(\frac{y^2(y-1) - x^2(y-1)}{y(y-x) - (y-x)}\)
Factor out y - 1 from the numerator and y - x from the denominator:
- \(\frac{(y-1)(y^2- x^2)}{(y-x)(y -1)}=\)
\(=\frac{y^2- x^2}{y-x}=\)
\(=\frac{(y- x)(y+x)}{y-x}=\)
\(=y+x\)
Answer: A.
